Gallery 408 and the Studios on Twelfth Street is a
growing Art Center in Carrizozo New Mexico. In between the Gallery and
the Studios buildings on Historic Twelfth Street, is a Sculpture Garden
featuring large outdoor artworks by local and national artists. This
Public Art space is often visited by local towns people and enjoyed by
all who come to the Gallery. We believe that art helps us enjoy life a
little more.

| To continue our interest in Public Art and its affect on our community in Carrizozo, Gallery 408 is sponsoring a live Art Auction named the Burro Serenade and Auction every year in November the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Life size Burros painted and embellished by well-known Lincoln County artists will become the Public Art of the sidewalks and streets of Carrizozo and other public spaces in our area. These Burros have unique personalities demonstrating the visual interests of the artists who created them. The proceeds of this Auction benefit the local Animal Control Shelter and the local veterinarians who help take care of those animals. |

2008 Burro Serenade
